Kanye West says 400 years of slavery suffered by Black people was a choice, the Black community come for him
Kanye West has angered Black people after he went on TMZ TV to say that the 400 years of slavery blackpeople were subjected to was a choice and Black people let it happen.

The rapper said this when he went on the show with Candace Owens. During the interview, Ye explained "free thought" and how it can make the world a better place. He then went on to say that slavery was a choice.

"When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years?! That sounds like a choice," Kanye said to the shock of everyone present.

After he made the very controversial statement, Van Lathan from TMZ newsroom tackled him. This led to an intense argument.

Kanye asked: "Do you feel that I'm being free, that I'm thinking free?"

And Van answered, "I actually don't think that you're thinking anything. I think what you're doing right now is actually the absence of thought. And the reason why I feel like that is because, Kanye, you're entitled to your opinion, you're entitled to believe whatever you want but there is facts and real world, real life consequences behind everything that you just said.

"While you are making music, and being an artist, and living the life that you've earned by being a genius, the rest of us in society have to reality these threats to our lives."

Social media users have applauded Van for firing back at Kanye West. At the moment, he's trending online, all for good reasons.
