Students of Novena University in Delta state are currently going on rampage following the death of one of their colleagues, Kelechi, a 300 level Public and community health (PCH) student.
Kelechi died in a road accident on her way to Abraka to withdraw cash from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) yesterday because the ATMs within the school premises weren't functioning.
The protesting students are angry with the school's only bank for failing to provide a functioning ATM to cater to their financial needs.
Properties and structures have been destroyed by the rampaging students. See more photos below

Iheanacho and Ighalo Recount World Cup Moments in SuperSport’s Connect with Greatness Stories
In times past, especially in Africa, football was often referred to
nothing more than a hobby, with talented and passionate players
considered little more than school dropouts. In recent times, however,
the sport of football has become one of the world’s truly respected and
rewarding professions. The road to footballing success is nevertheless
tough for aspiring players as they face numerous challenges just to
achieve their objectives.
Despite the different circumstances from which they emerge, the paths of most professional players often cross as there remains powerful and emotive similarities in their stories.
For Nigeria’s attacking duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Odion Ighalo, this situation is also not different for them as they explained during the shoot of SuperSport’s Connect with Greatness stories.
At a special session arranged at a studio in London, England, Iheanacho and Ighalo respectively recalled the several difficulties they encountered in making a name for themselves. Despite the initial challenges, both players have, through the power and grace of the beautiful game, now made it to the top and are achievers in their own right.
What can be more inspiring than knowing that the viewing centre operators, who threw you out of their venues as a kid, will now proudly showcase you play at the World Cup, as in the case of Iheanancho? Or as Ighalo is presently doing, utilizing the fortune made from football to provide opportunities, the same chances he never had as a kid, for the needy in the society.
Iheanacho and Ighalo’s narrative are part of the several poignant stories currently broadcast on DStv as a build-up to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The campaign, dubbed Connect with Greatness, has other football legends who exquisitely recounted iconic moments at the World Cup that remain indelible in their hearts.
Legends such as Michael Owen, Pele, Augustine “Jay Jay” Okocha, Sunday Oliseh and Sir Geoff Hurst recounted with nostalgia their memorable World Cup moments. Victor Moses, who like Iheanacho and Ighalo, will be making history by playing for Nigeria in his maiden World Cup, is also included in the campaign.

This morning, a man in his early 50s committed suicide by jumping from the 5th floor of the Administrative Building of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State. The incident, which caught many people unaware, attracted their attention when they suddenly saw the man landing with a thud on the cemented floor outside the Mortuary Department of the hospital.
Dressed in blue native attire, wearing a pair of palm sandals, the deceased, whose identity was yet to be ascertained by the police smashed his head when he hit it on the floor.
Though the workers at the hospital were still on strike as at present, the management, according to the Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Deji Bobade, detailed a doctor to examine him who certified him dead, after which the police were invited and took some investigation notes before the remains were deposited at the hospital morgue.
Unconfirmed reports indicated it that the man left a note indicating he was duped of N30million and so decided to take his life. The note was said to have been taken away by the police.

A couple met on Tinder dating site and discovered they were born on the same day in the same hospital. They have now gotten married and believe that their meeting and wedding was fate.
Jamie Frantz Burkett and Anthony Burkett, both 25, got married on Saturday, April 14, 2018. The couple went on their first date back in 2015 after meeting on Tinder and exchanging phone numbers. While on the date, they discovered that apart from being born on the same day, in the same hospital, they were both left-handed.
It all started when Anthony sent a text to Jamie and his email also popped up on her screen, which ended with the numbers 11493, the same date as Jamie’s birthday. Jamie, who was born on January 14, 1993, noticed the numbers and asked if that was his birthday. Anthony said it was, to Jamie's delight. She then asked him where he was born and he said East Jefferson hospital. This time, Jamie was left in shock because it was also the hospital where she was born.
Anthony, from Loranger, Louisiana, USA, entered the world at 11.35am and Jamie, from Nandeville, was born later that day at 6pm. The couple said the act of fate prompted them to go on their first date where they also discovered they were both left-handed. They later told their parents about the coincidence and their parents were blown away.
Jamie said: "We had been chatting on Tinder for a week or two and we exchanged numbers. Sometimes when you get a text a person’s email comes up and I noticed Anthony’s email finished with the numbers 11493, which is my birthday.
"I was really curious to see if we had the same birthday, so I asked and he said, 'That’s my birthday too!' It was really surreal. We’re from towns that are about 20 miles apart, so I asked him what hospital he was born in and he said East Jefferson. I said, 'No way! That’s where I was born too.'
"The connection definitely pushed me to meet him and we agreed to go on a date. It was a really great first date, the time just flew by. But while we were having dinner I realized that he was holding his fork in his left hand like me.
"As well as being born on the same day in the same hospital, we are both left-handed too."
Anthony added: "It’s a heck of a situation to find yourself in. When we figured it out it was really surreal."
The couple said their parents could not believe the coincidence and desperately tried to recall one another.
Jamie said: "Our parents were blown away when we told them. Everybody was trying to remember if they saw one another that day. Anthony and I were probably in the nursery together."
"The first birthday we celebrated as a couple was so exciting. I grew up with twin brothers and I was always a little bit jealous they got to share their birthday, so now I have my chance."
Jamie and Anthony, who are totally head over heels for one another, got married last month in their local church Our Lady Of the Lakes. They believe that fate has brought them together – and can’t wait to begin their life together when they return from their honeymoon in Barbados.
Jamie said: "We’re Christian and we really feel like there is an element of fate at work. I don’t believe it was just a coincidence."
Anthony added: "When I was chatting to Jamie on Tinder I realized she was such a sweet, gentle person and that was really endearing to me. It does feel like fate. Everything kind of aligned, it’s really remarkable."

Borno PDP Governorship aspirant appeals for the release of his wife, says she lost her pregnancy in police custody
The Borno State 2019 PDP Gubernatorial Aspirant, Comrade Grema Terab has called for the immediate release of his wife, Hajiya Saadatu Muhammad, who was arrested and detained by the police for 17 days with no charges yet.
21 other family members were also arrested after a political meeting in Maiduguri on Sunday 15th April, 2018.
Comrade Terab was former Executive Chairman, Borno State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA under the administration of Governor Kashim Shettima.
Grema, who made the call while speaking to newsmen in Maiduguri last Sunday, said that the presiding Magistrate, Justice Binta Othman, repeatedly denied her bail despite the Police and Borno Ministry of Justice continually flaunted her orders.
According to Terab, the arrest happened following an alleged disturbance by some miscreants who came to his premises to attack people over one hour after a successful completion of a meeting between him and his political supporters.
He said that his wife, who, despite being heavily pregnant, was taken away by the police amidst pleas from family members present.
Terab also revealed that his wife subsequently lost her pregnancy on Monday while in police detention due to her maltreatment and careless handling by men of the force.
The entire incident, he said, appeared to be a clear set up to smear his image by some political enemies who claim that he organized a meeting where a person was stabbed.
He noted that the move was probably due to the fact that some politicians were increasingly getting uncomfortable with his rising profile in the state.
“I am at a loss as to why my wife was arrested by the police nearly two hours after a successful completion of a meeting with my political associates in which the police themselves were present to provide security.“It is even more surprising that the same police that provided security during the meeting later came back to arrest my wife after we had completed and dispersed from the venue of meeting.
"I was the one that alerted the police about the disturbance but yet they chose to arrest my wife who has now lost her pregnancy. They want to even make it seem as if they advised me against the meeting. This is false and very painful,” Grema said.
Terab added that the continued detention of his wife and family members for over 10 days by the Borno state command of the Nigerian Police Force over trumped up allegations was illegal, especially as those involved in the incident have been arrested by the police.
He further appealed to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris, to quickly intervene by directing the Borno State Commissioner of Police, CP Damian Chukwu to release his wife, Hajiya Saadatu Mohammed and all those arrested by the Police at his residence.
Terab explained also that he had also decided to take the issue to the headquarters of PDP and also head to court to effect his wife’s release. He also accused some politicians in Borno state of trying to silence opposition despite the failure of governance in the state.
“We will not be deterred by the antics of those who think that they can use state apparatus to intimidate and silence opposition to the misrule and injustice in our country,” Terab said.

'It is a really cool festival and she was enjoying the performance by H.E.R.. and Daniel Caesar. She was partying and having the time of her life with her friends.'
'She was loose and having a good time,' he added.
Dwyer also went on to say that 'She was in the zone. I have never seen Sasha partying like that. It is normally Malia. She was going all out.
'I normally go to the festival to take pictures and I was there partying. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her there - it's a festival where people are smoking and drinking.'
